Native canine breeds of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau are precious germplasm resources and irreplaceable parts of the plateau ecological chain and nomadic culture. Based on public education, on-site conservation and germplasm protection, we carry out plateau canine protection through three core missions.
聚焦玉树犬、西藏梗、拉萨犬等原生犬种，开展种质调研、种群登记、纯种甄别与基因留存，搭建民间公益性种质资源数据库，守护高原独有基因库。
Focusing on native breeds such as Yushu Dog, Tibetan Terrier and Lhasa Apso, we conduct germplasm research, population registration, purebred identification and gene preservation, building a public-welfare germplasm database to protect the unique plateau gene bank.

We regularly carry out search and rescue, medical treatment, vaccination, daily care and sterilization resettlement for stray plateau canines, achieving closed-loop management of rescue, treatment, care and resettlement.

Relying on standardized base facilities, the center carries out systematic daily conservation: zoned housing, scientific feeding, medical prevention, germplasm management, and regular field surveys in surrounding pastoral areas.
